no reception releases new single ‘Door Mat’.

It is no secret that Pop Punk is my favourite genre.  When I first listened to no reception’s ‘Door Mat’ I pictured a 4 piece band and a female vocalist. It is interesting to find out that no reception was originally a duo but is now a one woman pop punk band. Claire Julian does the roles of songwriter, vocalist, guitarist, bassist, and drummer! I find this fascinating. A few days ago no reception released a 4 song EP called ‘See Through’. ‘Door Mat’ is the first song on this EP. Just like the name assumes, the song is about being treated poorly. The song tells a story in a true pop punk way, with an angsty attitude. After listening to this song a few times I have decided that Claire Julian is overflowing with musically talent and that he 4 songs really need to be heard. Loudly!  With pizza and beer the way Pop Punk was meant to be heard. Check ‘Door Mat’ out here.
