Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Starset, and Kami Kehoe bring the Fall Tour to West Palm Beach
The weather was the best the Ithink Amphitheatre has had all year. Once again it had many of us wishing we could have another month of shows. After enduring sweltering heat and intermittent rain delays during many of the summer shows, this end of season finale is just what we needed to make us want to come back.
A great night of music followed. Kami Kehoe had a solid set. She has a good voice and really works the crowd and the stage. A little hiccup with the front of house sound was a bit of an inconvenience but she didn’t stop the show and it was fixed quickly. For 23 years’ old, she is positioned to sky rocket into a great position in the next couple of years.

Starset has been evolving through several looks, but musically they have remained true to their fans. It is always a a great show. The futuristic look accompanying violin and chello makes this more of a rock orchestra than a rock band. The costuming and stage set up limited movement but once Dustin Bates shed his costume he was working as much of the stage as he could and tied the rest of the band together with his stage presence. It’s been fun watching the progression of this group from the rather obscure beginnings to a solid artist with a large following.

Chevelle has always been a crowd favorite. At this point nearly everyone was on their feet. Musically they were tight and they get a solid full sound out of their three piece band. Lighting was mostly bright and clear whish was great. Always a solid performance.

Breaking Benjamin delivered, as they always do. Ben had a moment after the first song in which he connected in an unexpected way. He apparently was experiencing neck pain and shared that he ” wished he had a cooler story but I was sleeping”. Warning younger people not to worry ” their time was coming”. Even with his pillow injury ( my words not his), he got through it with limited movement.

His inability to move well to dampen the spirit or temper the energy from the stage. The crowd was appreciative of every note and at times from the pit I heard more of them than him. This proving they are here to stay.
The entire night made everyone hoping that next year the season could be extend just a little longer. If anyone who makes these decisions is out there reading this, start the tours in other cities and end in the fall here. It would be worth it!
